Paddling Around Washington Island
June 10, 2011 - June 12, 2011
Day 1 - June 10th
15.4 miles paddled leaving the Northport dock first out to Plum Island, then on to Washington Island’s west shore. Big sweals and waves as we rounded the northwest point of the island, then we made our way to Rock Island State Park where we camped for the night.
Day 2 - June 11th
18 miles paddled today, from Rock Island, down the east shore of Washington Island and back to the mainland of Door County. We camped on the point between Newport Bay and Europe Bay.
Day 3 - June 12th
7 miles paddled today returning north to Plum Island one last time, before heading in to the Northport dock.
